Club Policies
The Match Committee controls play on the course and has sole jurisdiction in all competitions. Members are required to note the following:
- Proper golf attire must be worn on the course at ALL times. Refer Dress rules, Page 4 of this handbook.
- Players should allow the President and Captain the courtesy of precedence from all tees.
- Players must give precedence to Green Staff working on the course at all times.
- Wet slix must be fitted to buggies at all times.
- Competitors in Major Events and Pennant Matches have precedence over players on the course.
- Competition rounds are to be played in fours unless otherwise advised by the Professional or the starter.
- Players in Club Competitions have precedence over casual players.
- Casual players must play the competition of the day -players submitting handicap cards excepted.
- Women's Competitions are held on Tuesday, Thursday morning, Saturday and Sunday.
- Mens Competitions are held Wednesday, Thursday, Friday morning, Saturday and Sunday.
- Fours have precedence over other groups, but common sense should prevail.
- In any group the lowest marker is Captain and is responsible for etiquette.
- Excessive practice on the course is prohibited. 2 Balls only to be played at any one time. Use the practice fairway and nets provided.
- Read the notice board before beginning play. Local rules are varied from time to time.
- White stake markers with black tops are boundary markers.
- Yellow stakes define water hazards.
- Red stakes define lateral water hazards.
- White stakes define G.U.R.
- Stakes and ropes are immovable obstructions
- Hoops are moveable obstructions.
- Hazard markers are immovable obstructions.
- As a courtesy and warning to others, "fore" must be called for all errant golf shots.
THE COMMITTEE RESERVES THE RIGHT TO ALTER ANY DATES LISTED IN THE HANDBOOK OF EVENTS AND FIXTURES, AND IN SUCH CASE, ALTERATIONS WILL BE DISPLAYED ON THE NOTICE BOARD IN THE WEST FOYER. MEMBERS ARE REQUESTED TO TAKE PARTICULAR NOTICE OF THIS BOARD.
